This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are bright and open-minded individuals this is a fact that always remains true. With the funding of many previous projects, our library is growing with equitable access to diverse reading texts! Now we need your help with acquiring much-needed resources that will only further my students' fluency in foreign languages! Having access to these resources is a necessity for our students. Unfortunately, not all classrooms are equipped with these crucial and diverse resources mine included.
Your donations will help my students have dictionaries in class to support their learning and the other resources in this project will help with the continuation of this ever-growing library with diverse and inclusive reading texts.
These texts will not only expose students to various cultures, social backgrounds, and more, but they will also encourage them to want to read more and become literate in a second language!
The dictionary is a necessity. Each resource has been carefully picked based on reading levels, interests, topics, and difficulty. Some books were personally requested by students while others were exclusively chosen based on content and level. One of my objectives is to have students continue their learning and reading while engaging through books throughout the school year.
