This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students attend a Title I school in a low economic area. Our classroom is filled with varying abilities and learning styles. 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. For some, those are the only meals they can rely on. Most families are blended families and some students only have one parent.
Despite the many challenges that they face, my students are always ready to learn and eager to try new things.
I strive to provide them with rich experiences because they are resilient learners who love school.
My Project
I am asking for a variety of basic classroom supplies. These basic supplies will allow my students to continue on the path toward the fourth grade. They need pens for writing, specifically colored pens for editing and revising, and clear bins to store their supplies neatly in the classroom. These materials will be used every period of every single school day. Most of the parents already gave what they can for school supplies. I know school just started, but we desperately need these supplies!
These donations will totally impact the lives of my students.
