This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are amazing characters! They come from low-income families, but never give up. They love to perform on stage and have a lot of fun while learning how to work together and create amazing works!

Our students are learning how to project their voices so they can be heard from the stage.

They're also creating scenes, props, and the backgrounds for the show they are going to be performing. They are learning how to costume as well as dance while they sing.

My Project

Our students will gain a realistic understanding of theatre and how it works in both the performing and technical sides. They will gain confidence as they hear their voices using the wireless microphones while performing. These students are not always recognized or heard because of their low-income situations.

This will help them be heard by others as well as themselves and will provide an opportunity to celebrate each other as they grow together.

The confidence gained will help them in all aspects of life for years to come.

The mixer will allow the students to learn part of the technical side of the performing arts. Some students may not want to be on the stage, yet still want to be part of the fun. This will allow those students that opportunity. Our students will be building a theater program that will teach them a cooperative working environment that will celebrate individuality and community connections through performance.
