My Project
The new classic children's book The Good Egg by Jory John and Pete Oswald is the center piece of this lesson about character and the qualities that make someone a "good egg".
A "good egg" is honest, kind, generous, a good friend" and so much more!
What a better way to illustrate to our young readers that racial equity is in the content of our character. The outside, our shells, come in many shades of color, all beautiful. But the inside, that's the stuff that makes us "good eggs". What would you want your egg to say inside? Our students will be able to create their own good egg with the qualities they value most. Whether we are talking about racial equity, cultural and racial diversity and inclusiveness, the foundation is one, character counts!
