Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

With your donation, my students and our second grade Special Needs Class students will become empowered and continue to have a hunger for science education. They will really want to do science while they are all dressed up in their gleaming white lab coats. Science is about having fun and discovering new things. My students face science with inquiry and curiosity. These lab coats will help them understand that anyone can do science. Dress the part and students will feel like future scientists! With your help, I can encourage and inspire my students to become scientists.

My students and I need lab coats to participate in science research, which will eventually lead them to a higher level of thinking and to ask thought provoking questions.

My students love research and they need lab coats to begin research and inquiry projects that are engaging. I want my students to have a professional experience with their special needs peers. This will give them all the feeling of real scientists and provide that professional atmosphere. The K'NEX Introduction to Simple Machines: Levers and Pulleys kits will allow all of these students to explore as scientists during the same lesson at the same time. Science is also about getting dirty and making mistakes, so the lab coats will keep my students from getting their clothes dirty.

I want my students to know that not only do I set high expectations for them, so does society. By donating to this project, you are helping my students realize their potential in the science field.
