My Students

My students come from a high poverty area on the south side of Chicago in which personal hygiene is not always in the forefront of importance on a day-to-day basis.

I am a School Counselor and work with all students grades PK-8.

Proper hygiene is an essential part of life, and the lack of personal hygiene is a huge issue at our school because the students are also going through puberty and cannot meet the demands of their changing bodies. In addition, they may not have the needed products readily available to them.

My Project

With hygiene and feminine hygiene products, I will be able to properly support the students who are referred to me for hygiene related issues or accidents and not be forced to tell the teacher or staff member that I don't have anything to give the student or have their parent come pick them up from school. With these materials, I will also be able to provide the proper education around personal health and hygiene while using tangible products.

With your support and generous donations, I will not only be able to supply my students with much needed and necessary hygiene products, but also confidence in their everyday lives.
