My children need access to more technology. I have one working student computer in my classroom. Two Kindle Fires would allow my students to explore technology and help build a foundation of comfort and experience to help them to be successful in the future. They say technology is the future.
My students are from a great community.
We live in a community with caring families and teachers. The economy has made it difficult for our school and our classroom to get the resources we need. This group of children is very eager to learn. My students are awesome kids who deserve the opportunity to have access to technology. We are not a Title One School and do not get Title One Funds. Although we do not qualify for funds, we have a great need. Many parents are out of work and can not afford computers or can not afford Internet access. Two Kindle Fires would allow my students access to a tool that will help them be successful in the classrooms/work force of tomorrow.
My Project
Two Kindle Fires would allow my students to have one more tool to learn by. We do centers in our classroom and this would allow two students to work together on a Kindle Fire. There are many wonderful apps and resources for learning, letter practice, reading, and math. There are books that can be read and listened too. It is exciting to think my students could have access to current technology.
Donations for two Kindle Fires would impact my students for life.
Access to this type of technology in Kindergarten will encourage a life long love of learning and confidence in their ability to use technology.
