Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school has run a fun and successful Ceramics Club for years. Our old kiln is broken beyond repair and was "thrown" out. This project will help to restore our much-loved club and bring ceramics back to our school.
Ceramics offers a place where all students can learn to express themselves.
They can share their creations and find an outlet for their social-emotional learning. Being creative helps children deal with their feelings and fears, as well as managing their emotional wellness. Not only is creativity good for well-being, it can also lead to a future career.
