I am a second year teacher at a Chicago Public School located on the south side of Chicago. This year I have the opportunity and pleasure to teach 15 very eager kindergartners. I have decided to implement math centers into my classroom to enrich my students learning and exploration of the many math concepts that I will introduce to them this year. By implementing these math centers my students can learn math concepts in a fun way at their own pace. While we have some materials needed for our math centers, we are in desperate need of geometric pattern materials. Some of these materials include pattern trays, pattern dices and spinners, and literature about patterns. I want my students to know that math is a fun and exciting subject that they use everyday. Please help us with building our math centers: WE ARE COUNTING ON YOU!
