Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Your donation will directly support my 27 incredible third-grade dual language learners as we start a brand-new chapter together this fall. My students are curious, determined, and eager to grow—not just academically, but as confident readers, writers, and bilingual thinkers.
Many of my students come from low-income homes and often arrive without the basic supplies they need to learn.
We are a Title 1 school. With your support, I can create a classroom filled with tools that meet them where they are and help them thrive.
The iPad and tripod will let me teach from anywhere in the room—whether I’m modeling how to solve a math problem or showing students how to annotate a text in Spanish or English. This flexibility helps keep every student engaged, no matter where they’re sitting.
The bilingual book sets and Percy Jackson collection will give my students access to stories they can connect with—books that help them build language skills and fall in love with reading in both languages. These books will be used for partner reading, small group instruction, and independent choice time.
The laminator and pouches will help me create hands-on, durable resources like anchor charts, vocabulary cards, and game-based activities that students can use again and again—especially helpful for visual learners.
With a printer, I’ll be able to send home newsletters, reading logs, and learning materials to keep families involved and informed. And with flexible seating cushions, students who need to move to focus will have a way to stay comfortable and engaged during small group time.
Every item in this project was chosen with my students in mind—to support their learning, their well-being, and their confidence as bilingual learners. Thank you for helping me give them a classroom where they feel capable, valued, and excited to come learn every day.
