it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project will provide my 6th grade science students with a hands-on opportunity to design and build a live rainforest ecosystem, giving them an immersive learning experience to explore the complex relationships between biotic and abiotic factors. Students will research and select various plants, animals, and environmental components, allowing them to see firsthand how these elements interact to sustain life in a delicate ecosystem. By creating this rainforest, students will actively engage with concepts like the water cycle, food chains, and climate, while also learning about human impacts on ecosystems, such as deforestation and pollution. This project will foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as students apply their knowledge of ecological balance and environmental science to ensure the health and sustainability of their living ecosystem.
