This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We currently have some students with visual, hearing, and speech impairments, as well as a variety of cultures in our classroom. Help me give my students classroom materials to celebrate all the wonderful children we have in our preschool class.
My goal is so show my students that no matter what is on the outside we are all special and unique, and have a valuable part to play in the classroom community.
I have requested books for the library center focusing on different abilities and cultures. For the block area, I am requesting multicultural family and ability people block sets. I have also ordered "All children are Welcome" poster pack, as well as different ability posters for classroom display. I am requesting tactile letters for those students who need additional visual support learning their letters. For my students who need finger strength I have ordered easy squeeze scissors.
By supplying our classroom with some multicultural and multi-ability items we will be able to show better representation of all children, and how special and unique we all are.
