My Project
I teach pre-K to 18 wonderful children. The other day I heard something very interesting and I wanted to show the children that is doesn’t matter what race or nationality you are. We are all in this together. There were two children in the kitchen area playing. One of the children took one of the dolls and told the other child this is my doll it is my color. I happened to overhear the conversation I asked him what that meant. They said they only want to share things with people like them. So I said you don’t wanna share with me. They said no I’ll share with you. I then got a book that explains and discusses the differenced between people. We are all different and that’s a good thing. Sometimes children think they cannot play with each other for a certain reason. I want my children to know that it doesn’t matter where they come from. We are all people who deserve to have the best. Having these shirts will give the children an opportunity to wear them and show we are all equal. We support each other. Each week someone else will get to wear the shirts and be the dynamic duo of the week. That means they will do the calendar at all jobs that are needed to be done in the classroom it is very important to me to show the children the importance of learning about another friend in the classroom and in life. You can make it possible for the children to feel comfortable and express themselves in a classroom and take pictures of these moments. Thank you for taking the time to read our proposal.
