Help me give my students flexible seating with the Hokki stools and the area rug as these will accommodate the flexible seating I am trying to provide in my classroom.
I had an unexpected, but loved change in my classroom of learners this year. Three weeks after the school year began, I was told there was a class of special needs children that needed a teacher. My kids are my heart and each special in so many ways including being from low-income families. I accepted the challenge and it's one decision I know I will never regret. My new class of children, range from the ages of 6 to 11 years. My class consist of 9 non-verbal darlings who are very unique in each of their needs. In addition, these children are of low income families. My students have faced and will face many more challenges in their lives with the special needs they have but they have a great capacity and desire to learn.
"A child must know that he is a miracle, that since the beginning of the world there hasn't been, and until the end of the world there there will not be, another child like him."Pablo Casals These children are ours, each of ours!
My Project
My students are so diverse in their learning styles and I want to create an atmosphere that is conducive for learning that is flexible and fits my students. The new rug, hokki stools, bean bag chairs, and pillows we have will provide the flexible learning environment my learners need. For my classroom learning family, the learning is what matters, not how we get there but that we get there! We will each arrive sooner if we can be our own individual while learning! Please help me meet the needs of my unique children by providing the flexible seating they need!
