My Students
My students live in lower socioeconomic neighborhoods that require support and resources for learning. One of the biggest challenges my families face is the ability to provide extra resources and oppotunities for their children.
We need to get each student the support needed to be successful in the classroom.
A large percentage of our students live in multi-family member homes, foster homes, other family members and friends' homes, and hotels or motels.
My Project
In our school, there are over 80 different languages and cultures represented. We need to provide our students with different multicultural resources and items to help learn differences, acceptance, and respect for all.
My students need different multicultural play food items in the classroom to help become aware that people are different and accept others differences.
With these resources we will work together to help students see their identities included in their learning and provide more learning opportunities about racial equity. These resources will allow students to celebrate their identity and differences and have a more inclusive environment to learn.
