We are future Scientists and Engineers! My students come from neighborhoods struggling with high poverty, but that will not stop us from learning about science, technology, engineering, and math. When we learn, create, build, and plan, our minds and bodies are in constant motion. When their bodies and minds are engaged, they light up the room with their excitement. Learning is fun and awesome!
When my students learn, they become scientists, engineers, and mathematicians because they are inventing, creating, and exploring.
My Project
We are a STEM school (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). This is our first year and we didn't have enough funds to receive all the needed materials to start this program. The Apple TV and iPad are an important component to this program.
Students will be required to build complex and simple machines.
I will use the iPad to run the applications that are needed to help my students create these machines. The Apple TV allows all the students to visually see their machines so that they can problem solve, compare and contrast, and modify their machines together as an entire class.
These materials will be an important asset to my students and enrich their current STEM curriculum.
