Additionally, for many of my current students this is their first school experience. The sensory tools like textured fidgets and weighted animals have made a big difference. The items are helping the children calm their bodies, and focus on actively participating. One student is now joining our group time when given one of the weighted animals. Another is verbally requesting a fidget or chewy. \r\n\r\nThese materials also support fine motor, language, and social-emotional skills, while making the classroom feel comfortable. The students love to use the magnet tiles to build and they are taking turns, and sharing with each other.\r\n\r\nThank you again for the donations.
