This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As always, my goal in creating a book project is to curate a library collection that inspires and excites our students. There is a correlation between access to a variety of books and higher reading levels, and while we have a large collection, many of the books are old, irrelevant, worn, and, in some cases, falling apart.
Students need to see the world represented in their library and students deserve updated and relevant reading material. These books will not only be an amazing addition to our collection, but they will help to create a library that keeps kids excited about reading, which will in turn make them better readers, and great readers become lifelong learners!
