My Project
We are always in need of more tools on the farm. We have shovels that date back to 1972 that we are still using, but we have had to replace the handles a time or two. The shovels we have in this project have fiberglass handles, so even if a student wants to be the Hulk and show how strong he is, it hopefully won't break too fast.
We clear a lot of weeds and brush and having these tools makes our job a little easier.
The cultivator is a hard tool to find anywhere, and we use that tool a lot to move brush, clear the ground and to soften the soil to get out weeds. Having to pull weeds by hand is no fun, and these tools are appreciated by the students because we don't have to bend down too much, we can break up the dirt easier, and it makes a great way to move branches and brush from one place to the next. We have lots of aquatic plants that grow in our fish tanks and pond, and these nets will make it easier for us to gather the floating plants and put it into the compost bins. We're always doing something on the farm, and these tools makes it easier and more fun for us to work.
