This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are artists, dancers, actors, and musicians! As a charter arts school located in an urban center, my school educates this nation's next generation of creative geniuses. The students themselves are free-thinking and caring young people. They are hungry to learn and are eager to embrace new ideas and challenges. They greatly enjoy expressing their creativity through the written word as well as learning about peoples and cultures through reading. The majority of our student population qualifies for free and reduced price lunch.
My Project
A projector screen would be an incredible addition to my classroom! Currently, my projector's image is shown on the whiteboard. This means my whiteboard space is cut nearly in half. Also, the top of the whiteboard interferes with the image, preventing me from ever using my entire computer screen in my projections for classes.
This screen would allow my students the full use of the whiteboard while also providing a more clear picture of everything we project.
I'm hoping to get a document camera up and running, so this screen would also serve as a great new stage for the students' writing and work!
This order includes two screens so a colleague who teaches Grade 6 communication arts would also receive one!
