This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students sometimes need a pick-me-up. Not speaking poorly for our school lunch program, but making middle schoolers eat all their lunch can be a challenge. Sometimes they are too "cool" to eat anything at all. I work in a Title I, low-income school where if some of my students don't eat their breakfast or lunch here, they may not be eating that day. Being our middle school Health and PE teacher, I know this is hard on their bodies.

Help me give my students the nutrition and energy to have something in their bellies even when they are too "cool" to eat lunch.

I always keep supplies of the different snacks I have requested due to my students' lack of eating. I feel that as long as I know what they will actually eat then I will be successful in at least getting something in their stomachs. These snacks will allow me to slyly give students the food they need to make it through their day so they can stay focused and energized! Thanks for your support.
