Way to Get Organized! Seat Sacks Can Help

My students need new seat sacks to keep themselves organized during the school year. As Kindergarten students, they need to learn the importance of organization early!

My Students

My Kindergarten students are enjoying school for the first time and as their first year starts it is important that they are organized from the start. By using seat sacks, they will have all they need right near them and be able to keep everything right where they can find it.

My students are wonderful children who come from working families that often have to work more than one job to provide for their family.

Over eighty five percent of our children receive free or reduced lunch and we are a Title one school. Often my students use hand me downs and I have more than once provided basic school needs for my students. These children want to learn and come to school eager to be in a safe, secure, predictable environment. They are very appreciative of every kind gesture that is bestowed upon them. I want the very best for my students and I am hoping you can help me to become more organized.

My Project

The seat sacks that we currently have have been used for the past 8 years and are stained, ripped, and falling apart. While I am currently using them it is becoming ever apparent that they will not last much longer. My students need new seat sacks. By replacing the ones that we have currently my students will recognize that they are important. By giving them something new it will raise their self esteem and show that they are valuable members of the school. Since they rarely have new items, the new seat sacks will be treated with respect and treasured through the year as they will be the first to use them. Being organized is an important skill to learn and the seat sacks will allow them to not only be organized, but keep everything in a central location. By having everything near them, they will be able to focus on the lessons and not have to go searching for what they need.

By donating to this project, you are showing that you value these students and that they deserve to have something new.

It will make a difference in their beginning education and show the importance of keeping oneself organized.
