Wax On, Wax Off

Help me give my students quality classroom resources in white boards that enable them to have smooth lessons without interruptions to deep clean inadequate surfaces. Our current white boards are not built for dry erase use.

My Students

My students love participating in class activities, specifically when they get to write on the board. Students in my classes jump at the chance to come to the white board and answer questions. This enthusiasm sometimes is missing in middle school, so encouraging their participation eagerness is very important. In our classroom we want all students to feel comfortable participating and to feel as though their opinions are respected.

Students become more confident when they participate more.

Different methods encourage classroom participation, but my students respond best to white board activities. Our students have been very patient with the condition of our resources. Despite the low quality of the resources creating delays and distractions to the learning process, our students stay focused. They are driven to learn and to improve their education.

My Project

These white boards will let my students have basic classroom materials that enable their participation in various learning strategies. The white boards mounted in our current classroom do not erase expo markers without the use of bathroom grade cleaning products. Dry erase erasers do not work and and the boards even dirtier.

Having functional white boards is a basic classroom essential today, and my students are lacking this resource.

Chalk boards would be more effective and time efficient than the faux dry erase boards that have been mounted to our walls. These create frustrations for our students, especially when trying to correct minor mistakes that cannot be erased without extensive effort. Please help my students so they can have basic classroom materials.
