Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The items requested include an array of international flags that symbolize the cultural heritage that represents the unique identities of the middle school students.
Flags are symbols.
For migrant, refugee, and immigrant students these symbols represent cultural identity-- an identity they share with the the United States of America.
The goal of this project is to showcase and celebrate the multi-cultural identity of the school community at our upcoming Spring Awakening Assembly. Spring is a season of new beginnings, rebirth, and change. The middle school student performance will celebrate the spirit of our vitality and the identities that define our school culture.
