Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I've been teaching Physical Education at EMMS for 17 years. My students are highly motivated to learn about what it takes to keep their bodies strong and healthy . They deserve the best opportunity and resources available in order to achieve their goals.

My Project

We need to purchase exercise equipment in order to teach students the benefits of health and fitness. Each student needs to have his/her own equipment to practice with and to build skills necessary to be successful in a particular unit of instruction. Our current PE budget do not allow us to purchase enough equipment to accommodate the large number of students in the class. As a result, many of our students have to wait in line for their turn to use the equipment. As teachers, we all know how important practice is to our kiddos and I hope they can get the resources they need to be successful.
