My Project
We're a general education classroom, and value the talents everyone brings to the table. Often students with fine artistic talents get overlooked as we gallop through the learning of reading, writing, arithmetic, and the sciences.
I believe art is a valuable tool for student learning in all subjects, this project allows students to use painting as a voice for their experiences and learning.
This project will provide painting supplies including a class set of 2 different styles of watercolor kits, ample brush sizes, and style choices, and high-quality watercolor paper that will not tear as our gifted young artists explore and access their creative responses to new information they are learning. It also includes a class set of sharpie markers that support our academic art-making. Often our ELL / ML students can share their talents and understanding of new information effectively through artwork, and this will support their continued engagement and talent development.
