Kindergarten! Welcome to my world! Meet our class. The kindergarten is full of five and six-year-olds ready to take on the challenges of being in a group full of children with different needs and learning styles.
We celebrate each child every day.
The culminating celebration of our Kindergarten year is our annual water party. We do not have a graduation. We do have a WATER PARTY. Celebrating a year in Kindergarten with a water party is the BEST!
Water exploration and discovery is a learning arena in which five and six-year-olds embark on learning while having fun. The water slide is used for large muscle discovery and overall celebration.
My Project
Water play is important in Kindergarten throughout the year. Students learn through exploration and discovery. Water play is a component used in our Kindergarten classroom for discovery and for celebration.
Sliding into the end of the year by using a water slide is the best way to celebrate 180 days of learning.
Many parents request that we celebrate the end of Kindergarten by having a graduation ceremony. While a graduation ceremony is a culminating event for many milestones including high school, college, and even Doctoral programs, it is not an event in which six-year-olds make memories.
A water party including a water slide is a fantastic way for six-year-olds to celebrate the end of a great school year. The water slide that we currently use was donated in 2011 as a used slide that was no longer getting used at another child's home. Water supplies have been long used and sometimes too small for the classes that we have.
