This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students life learning experiences are limited due to the low economics in our county. These particular students have parents who are working two or more jobs just to make ends meet. I want to provide the opportunity for my student to learn different methods of obtaining food sources.

I have learned through my years of teaching students respond to Hands on activities.

My project will give these students the opportunity to build aquaponics growing planters. I will create a project for the students to complete while maintaining the planters through the growth cycle. The students will take the vegetable and fruit grow and complete a cooking lab assignment.
