Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students are constantly asking me for water bottles so that they can stay hydrated throughout the day. Many of them also have sports after school and especially need water to be able to participate in the games and practices. Getting students water bottles also means that they don't need to leave class as frequently whenever they are thirsty. Instead of leaving to go to the water fountain, students can stay in class and hydrate using their own personal water bottle. Especially after periods such as gym, students need to be able to have available access to water without needing to leave the classroom and interrupt their learning.
Keping our students hydrated and in the classroom is essential to create a better learning environment.
I have also asked for the orange plastic bags; these will be used to carry food for students. We have a school pantry, and a lot of our students go home with food every weekend. They need an easy and private way to carry the food home, and these colorful food bags are big enough to carry the food, while not being see-through so students can hide what is in the bag.
