My Students

As the Physical Education teacher, I am responsible for organizing innovative games, teaching skills and challenges that promote physical activity among all students from grades K-6. The goal is to develop motor skills, physical development, proper exercise, and eating habits.

However, the job of an elementary Physical Education teacher goes well beyond playing games.

I strive to stress the importance of maintaining a healthy way of life, through both exercise and positive lifestyle choices, so that students develop habits now that will help them live healthy lives for many years to come.

My Project

Did you know it's estimated that half of the nation's children are dehydrated?

Water consumption is such an important part of being healthy and I want to encourage students, faculty, and staff to drink up while helping the environment by reducing waste from plastic water bottles.

There are so many health benefits when it comes to drinking water!

* many more

Not only do we want to encourage drinking plenty of water, we want to make sure it's clean water for our growing children. This system reduces lead, chlorine, odor, and discoloration. Not only does it filter the bottle filler but also the drinking fountain.

In addition to the health benefits and filtration benefits, there is also a ticker that shows how many 20oz plastic water bottles have been saved from waste so everyone will be able to see how big of an impact they are having on the environment.

This is something that would benefit everyone - students, faculty, and staff - for several years!
