This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are great! They are love to participate in class! I want a fun way to encourage them to continue participating and to help them be responsible. With Covid still hanging around, some of my students are not comfortable drinking from our classroom water fountain and cannot afford to bring a nice water bottle from home everyday. I would like to give each student their own water bottle to keep at their desk. Then students who earn a reward can choose a fun sticker to put on their water bottles.

I want to encourage my students to drink water and to make good behavior choices so having their individual water bottles they can decorate by earning rewards seemed to be a great idea!

I plan to take the bottles home and wash them myself to ensure that germs are not spreading. My hope is that students will have a good system in place to drink water, be encouraged to make good decisions, and have a little bit of self expression too!
