Help me give my students a fun, sensory-friendly way to explore letters, numbers and shapes. The "Float and Find" bubbles and the "Sift and Find" shells will be a blast in the sand and water table.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are incredible learners who shine brightest through hands-on experiences. They are Kindergarten-Grade 2 special education students in a life skills program, and many of them have sensory needs that make touch, movement, and exploration vital to their growth. One of their favorite ways to learn is through sand and water play—it’s calming, engaging, and full of learning opportunities.
These materials will be used daily as part of our structured sensory breaks and center-based learning.
For many of my students, play is not just fun—it’s how they connect to the world and build the life skills they’ll use forever.
