I need a Foundations teachers' manual, which is an explicit and systematic phonics program that introduces students to the foundational reading skills necessary for proficient reading.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The Foundations teachers' manual will help me to provide interventions to my below-low students in both grades 3 and 4. It has a carefully developed scope and sequence designed to ensure that students systematically acquire each skill needed and learn to apply each skill with automaticity and confidence.
Foundations are designed to be used for core instruction in the primary grades or for intervention with struggling students in any grade.
I hope to increase my students' reading levels and help them to become successful readers at their grade level. We will also need dry-erase markers to help us complete the lessons on our whiteboard tables.
