My Students

My third-grade students learn in a Title I school near a military base. Many of the students in our community are socioeconomically disadvantaged, with over half of the students receiving free or reduced-price lunch. The students at my school are all hard workers. They come to school every day, ready to learn.

My third-grade students are a very active bunch and are capable of doing amazing things this year.

My students set goals for themselves and they achieve them. They are smart, kind, and caring. They work hard as individuals and come together as a team.

My students are eager to learn and love whole group activities that allow them to listen to stories, cooperate with peers and attend to technology lessons. Our community has a high population of military families. We have a supportive community and administration, however, there are fewer funds for classroom resources.

My Project

Our class would love readers's theater script box sets so that we can perform them in front of our classmates. These box sets are great because they are reusable! These box sets are also nice because each script has a highlighted part, so that each student can learn and practice their lines from the first time they read them.

Once the students have memorized and practice their parts, they will be perform in front of the class!

These scrips will help the students build their fluency, develop a sense of pacing, intonation, expression and more within their reading skills while learning and practicing the performing arts! Thanks for supporting our class.
