This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The feel of the earth in little hands. Planting a seed. Watering the soil. Patiently watching and waiting for the first seedling to sprout up and meet the gardners. WOW!

The outdoor classroom is an incredible, exciting tool for young learners.

The donation of soil, seeds, and tools will greatly support the curious minds of my eager learners.

What a mind blowing experience for children to enjoy eating the food their hands have grown.

The lessons taught in the garden reach beyond the life cycle of a plant. We will practice teamwork and have many opportunities to apply math and reading skills in our observations, discussions, and application of the scientific method along with creating positive life long memories.
