This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are so special to me because they eagerly come into school ready to learn despite the challenges they may encounter at home and in the community. They are kind and helpful to each other and their teachers. Our school is an inner city school and almost 90% of our families qualify for free or reduced lunch. Some families benefit from our food pantry located in our school. Many of our student's families cannot afford to send in school supplies. The teachers in our school tap into outside resources, families and friends when they see a family in need.

My Project

Help me give my students stability balls and stools to grow with us and offer flexible seating options for our kindergarten students.

We currently have 25 kindergarten students in our class.

The stools and stability balls will be comfortable seating options for completing our center work.

The stools are durable and strong to support our learners. The stability balls will help give my students the movement they need while completing their center work. The colorful dry erase markers will enhance our future writers.

The dry markers will make our writing center work colorful and fun! By using dry erase markers and clear pouches, we will waste less paper. Students can practice letter formation, number formation, writing their sight words, inventive spelling, writing sentences, and addition/subtraction by writing number bonds.
