Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from low socioeconomic families. Most are second language learners and only get the chance to speak English at school. 100% of our students qualify for breakfast and lunch. Many students don’t know when their next meal will come. Our students receive free uniforms and free backpacks. Many of our families live in multi-family households. My students need extra supplies so they can have a safe, warm, and welcoming environment when they come to school. Please help support our class!

My Project

Using watercolor with Transitional Kindergartners is a great way to introduce paint and color to four and five year olds. Who doesn't remember their first watercolor paint set when you were young? My students from their low soci-economic background whose parents don't spend money on art supplies. My families spend their money on living essentials - food and rent.

These supplies are so important to help create a well rounded child who has access to art materials.

Seeing their faces use the art supplies brings joy to your heart.

Also, I received three new students who need their own Rainbos Dot Markers. I'm also looking for funding for my three new little cuties. Help make a difference to little one in a low socio-economic area.
