Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

At the start of the Covid-19, I said "goodbye and see you in a few weeks" as my students left school on March 13th. Never did I imagine that a few weeks would turn into a few months and eventually the whole school year.

Pre-School Culmination is coming and for the first time in my 29 years of teaching, I have to plan this graduation remotely through ZOOM!

I can anticipate many questions and many wonders on how this is going to work! Thank goodness to DonorsChoose, we will make this work.

My students come from low-income families and unfortunately, some of my parents are also working from home or at their job site. As parents are working away or at home, they are experiencing a tough time dealing with a lot of unnecessary stress about how to keep their kids busy and still learning at home while they are working.

My Project

Distance Learning continues and school districts are implementing new guidelines and suggestions for graduation and culmination. I would lie to give my Preschool students the best and most memorable Remote Luau Culmination.

Covid-19 Pandemic means no culmination for Preschool--NO WAY!!!

With DonorsChoose and generous donors' support, I will make sure that my students will have a Culmination at the end of the year. When this project is funded, my students will receive graduation caps, certificates, and a goody bag filled with Luau Theme trinkets like a lei, Hawaiian bracelet, etc. that they so much deserve. They have worked so hard and have learned so much that it is my honor and pride to be able to pass them on to kindergarten.
