This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Can you imagine walking into a classroom that is 80 or more degrees Fahrenheit? This is what my students have dealt with ever since school began.

I currently teach 25 third graders who are eager to come to school to learn.

They live in a high poverty neighborhood where they lack many resources. Unfortunately, our school is also a place that lacks several resources. Our class has experienced the negative effects of state and local budget cuts. We have been forced to endure the hot, humid days of summer because we do not have a working air conditioner.

My Project

The fan I have requested will provide my students with cool air. They will be able to concentrate and focus on learning, instead of worrying about how hot they are. There will be less trips to the drinking fountain, the nurse's office, and the restroom. Having a portable fan in the classroom will make a world of difference. I can just picture a classroom with cool air and hard working students.

Your donation will help my students cool off and focus on what they are supposed to do and learn.

My students and I thank you so much for your generous donation and for caring about our lives.
