Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love hands-on learning activities. Providing these experiences enriches their learning and development. The benefits of gardening for children are many. They will gain awareness about the importance of the environment, patience, responsibility, and self-confidence. Gardening will include science, math, the five senses, planning and organizing, and language development. Gardening is also therapeutic for the mind and body. It promotes mental health through moderate exercise, relieves stress, reduces depression, and helps build community. With the planters and gardening materials and resources requested, I will be able to provide my students with so many learning opportunities.
