My Project

Two of these scooters and a balance bike would allow my students to participate in gross motor activities during recess. This year, I am fortunate to work with 20 refugee children from Ukraine and Russia. They are all new to USA and are finding their place in my classroom. Most of them does not have any bikes or scooters at home as they are living in apartment buildings or temporary living situations however, they are eager to try and gain more abilities in gross motor movement. They are working together , sharing and coaching each other to gain more balance and learn how to use a scooter.

Children are very eager to share and interact with each other but unable to put their skills to test as we currently do not have any out door scooters or bikes.
