My Project

My students are growing and changing every day. I love that as their school counselor, I get the opportunity to check in on them most days of the week. I love to visit with them while they are in lunch.

To increase the character lessons that we do weekly I have applied for this project through Donors Choose to help my students get more character at lunchtime and at school.

With the project TVs in our cafeteria our students will have video lessons they can watch as they eat lunch. With more character lessons the students will be able to watch more character lessons so they can live more character in their lives. This also will help with the safety of students as well. If kids are engaged in a video while eating they are less likely to eat fast, be talking to a neighbor, and choke.

This is also a joint usage project that will enable our boys and girls club to show movies and play games, they will also enrich the professional development of our staff, and it will be great to show PowerPoints of school data during our family and community engagement meetings. One of the cool ways this project will help our school is to provide better viewing for our families and community members as our P.T.O. holds its annual Spring Bingo Bash.
