My Students

How much easier is it to learn when you can see something or see an event dramatized? Today's students learn better watching. We have the TVs, now we need DVD/VCR players to use with them!

A mix of 6-12th graders from varying backgrounds who are all interested in receiving the best possible educations.

We require they take a Science class each year as well as a History class each year. There are many opportunities to use both short and full length videos as part of a variety of learning tools. In this way the information reaches each student in several ways and the repetition assists the learning.

My Project

Many of our teachers own their own resources and have been teaching for years so it may be on video or on a DVD. We would like to have access to both in order to use every resource available to us. Many students have seen no movies released before 2005. Many of those older movies are only available on tape.

We will no longer have to transport the one TV/VCR unit we have around the school allowing it to last longer and more than one teacher at a time to be showing a movie.

It will make it so much easier to plan lessons without this additional step.
