This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The presence of a washing machine and dryer can significantly impact the lives of students in need, particularly in their educational journey. Access to clean clothes through the use of a washing machine and dryer ensures that children can maintain good personal hygiene. Clean clothes contribute to overall health by reducing the risk of skin infections and other illnesses, allowing children to attend school regularly without concerns about their appearance. Wearing clean clothes boosts children's self-esteem and confidence. When students feel good about themselves, they are more likely to actively participate in classroom activities, engage with peers, and pursue learning opportunities.

Access to laundry facilities at the school ensures that all students, regardless of their socioeconomic background, have equal opportunities to succeed.

By addressing the basic need for clean clothing, we strive to promote equity and inclusivity within the school community, creating a level playing field where every student can thrive.
