My Project

Hello, I am a special education teacher and I specialize in our Structured Learning Program (SLP)/Learning Opportunities Program (LOP). Our SLP and LOP programs support our most special learners. Our students come to us when they need a more self-contained, adaptive learning environment due to having various learning differences that can make their learning abilities lower than their peers.

We have started a school coffee cart to give our students a hands-on experience that will provide them with some of the skills necessary to enter the working world after graduation, such as social skills, safe food handling, sanitation, and customer service.

We believe that this type of real world “working” experience will not only teach them valuable skills but also give them a great sense of accomplishment and independence and pride in a job well done!

We are reaching out to generous individuals to find out if you would be willing to donate to our program. We are several weeks in to our venture and have had lots of positive feedback from those staff that have participated. We are currently in need of all the basics but most urgently coffee pods and gallon jugs of water. Any donation at all would be greatly appreciated!
