My Students

My students are a great group of kids, they remind me of every band that I've been in my life. But these kids are just getting started with organized music. Our academy is a growing charter school, but we don't have the long-standing traditions, yet. Help my kids create our band tradition from the ground up.

These kids will likely be the first class of the High school Band as well.

I want to set them up for as much success as I can this year

My Project

My students are coming into a semi supplied classroom. We have the leftovers of a broken drum set as our percussion instruments. Good, solid, instruments will help my students focus on becoming the best musicians that they can be.

All percussionists are going to be expected to be able to set up and break down many different combinations of drums.

As we currently only have 4 working instruments for them to play, we need to replace the broken instruments. The bells will allow my percussionists to call themselves percussionists, not just drummers. As the program builds, our own fundraising and concert efforts can take over, but for now, we need the equipment to perform our first concert.
