Warmth and Love in the Winter

Help me give my students warm uniform clothing including pants, shirts, sweaters, and underwear to keep their attendance consistent, even when faced with harsh and cold winter weather.

My Students

Our school is an all girls 6-12 school nestled in the heart of Atlanta and is a Title I school where 100% of the student population receives free or reduced-price lunch.

Our young ladies are loving, full of energy, and optimistic despite the hardships they encounter.

Though we may not be able to control their home lives, we can certainly control their experience while at school. As a school staff member, our students and our community is our priority and we aim to fill their social emotional needs.

My Project

Winter weather is here! This time of year usually signifies family getting together and celebrating the season. Unfortunately, this time of year also signifies an attendance slump for students who do not have the resources to keep warm as they travel to school. My students are resilient young ladies and try and come to school even when the weather is harsh but the temperature has been steadily dropping and it is affecting their attendance.

My students are full of love, creativity, and a hunger for learning but they are unable to learn if they are not in school: please help me keep my students in school by providing warm clothes.

Access to pants, uniform shirts, underwear, and sweaters are critically needed. Thank you for taking the time to read our classroom request.
