My Students

My students are the future leaders of our community and are eager to make their place in our world. They are naturally inquisitive. With each passing day, my students are more and more excited to learn something new. They are hard-working and intelligent and deserve to have the very best learning opportunities and materials. They are thinkers, problem solvers, inventors, and the creative minds behind so many unique projects and ideas that require up-to-date resources and technology.

My students come from many different backgrounds and experiences.

Being in a Title I, high needs school has never stopped my students from walking in the classroom door with a willingness to learn. The diverse population of students offers a space to teach and learn about acceptance and understanding.

My Project

Every single student deserves the warmest welcome to our classroom. I am asking for some florescent light covers to dim the harsh lighting and make the room feel more inviting. I am asking for various banners and decorations to hang in the classroom throughout the year to show the students how loved and welcome they are in our space.

The recently graduated kindergarten students are already peeking their heads into our classroom door to gauge their excitement for first grade.

Most of the students' day is spent in one room and I want to make sure that they love every minute of being in their first grade classroom. I have also included some storage to add to our collection and make the room easier for the students to navigate and organize.
