Warm Up Puppies and Kittens

Help me give my students fleece material to create warm blankets for the animals at our local shelters.

My Project

Every year, my art students learn how to make blankets and then donate them to a local animal shelter. During the winter months, the blankets keep the dogs and cats warm if they're in an outside pen.

Students learn kindness, empathy and it helps them become good community citizens.

We need fleece material with paw prints to cut out and tie our blankets with knots.

This process isn't difficult and can teach second graders a life skill where they can create a blanket for a loved one if they choose.
