We had approximately eight hundred students French weaving at the same time and we used a lot of yarn! But, oh, what they were able to create! I had second graders weaving so much, they made rugs, belts, scarves, lollipops and snakes. The older students made large area rugs and large sculpted cats, pigs and dog faces. The creativity never ceased!\r\n\r\nHaving ample supplies of yarn helped keep the momentum going and students kept weaving and weaving. Some are continuing their weaving over the summer in hopes of next year, having an even larger rug to produce. \r\n\r\nThis has been great therapy for many students with behavior issues and calming for many students who needed to relax. Seeing almost instant results and feeling they are accomplishing something gives them an ultimate feeling of success. I am so proud of what they accomplished this year.\r\n\r\nEvery spring, we do this weaving and the kids ask all year if it's coming up soon.
